1.About Kushiro Marshland

There are the special natural monument red-crowned cranes attracting attention from all over the world here. It was thought that the red-crowned crane that was called sarurunkamui, the God of the marshland, became extinct. It was rediscovered here. It is the biggest marshland in Japan (18,290ha) on the north side of Kushiro-shi. It is a popular marshland known by every bird watcher in the world.

In the marshland, when standing on Miyajimamisaki Cape and the Kirakotanmisaki Cape, we can understand that the area was the bottom of the sea approximately 6,000 years ago from the name of the place. And you will be surprised at the majesty of the river that meanders through.

It took a long time, the seawater went down slowly, and a big damp area remained, making it possible for a windingly bent river. You can watch the creation of nature.

In Tsurui-mura in the marshland, you can sense nature as it is with the five senses.
